Dyersburg Middle School is proud to introduce our Trojans of the Week for October 19–23! Each week, DMS recognizes students who are making a positive impact through their character, leadership, hard work, and commitment to being great Trojans.
6TH GRADE | RETA
Team 6A can't wait to announce our Trojan of the Week! Maya Angelou said, "People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. But people will never forget how you made them feel."
This week's TOW makes everyone around her feel heard, important, and treated with kindness. She has quiet confidence, a sweet spirit, and a careful work ethic that shows in her schoolwork and friendships. She is an Honor Roll student and a member of the volleyball team, and we can't wait to see all of her future achievements!

7TH GRADE | ANDREW
Team 7A is proud to recognize our Trojan of the Week! Andrew is an excellent student who made Golden Honor Roll during the first nine weeks and always works hard to do his best. He stays on task, works well with others, and treats everyone with kindness. He is a member of the band and Beta Club and shows leadership in the way he carries himself each day.
One of the things that makes him special is his friendly personality. He always has a smile, takes the time to say hello, and enjoys sharing a laugh with others. He has a great sense of humor and a quick wit that makes him fun to be around. When he isn't at school, he enjoys playing video games and spending time with friends.
A friendly smile, a kind word, and a positive attitude can go a long way in life, and he already shows these qualities every day. We are proud to have him on Team 7A, Andrew, and look forward to seeing all the great things his bright future holds. Keep being you!
8TH GRADE | TINLEY
This week’s Team 8A Trojan of the Week is someone who is dedicated, hardworking, and well-rounded. This student sets the bar high in everything she does.
Academically, she stays sharp and driven through Beta Club and Plus One, demonstrating a strong commitment to learning and leadership. Beyond the classroom, she stays active and involved as a dynamic athlete in cheer, soccer, and basketball, all while growing her faith and community connections through FCA.
Her integrity, work ethic, and positive example make her a student others can look up to and a wonderful representative of our school.
